PURPOSE: An image signal processing method and image signal processing device are provided to minimize picture quality degradation which is generated from an image processing method of an analog input signal. CONSTITUTION: An image signal processing device includes an image processing unit(104), a comparing unit(105), a picture quality compensation unit(106), and a module. The image processing unit processes an image signal in which inside pattern data is inserted. The comparing unit compares a pattern data inside the processed image signal and the inserted inside pattern data. The picture compensation unit compensates picture quality of the processed image signal according to the compared result. The module outputs the picture compensated image signal. The image signal includes at least one among a composite signal, an S-video signal, component signal, and an RGB signal.
