<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink for ink-jet recording, excellent in light resistance and ozone resistance and excellent in colorability and bronzing. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink for the ink-jet recording, comprising a coloring agent, water and a water-soluble organic solvent, is characterized in that the coloring agent comprises the following dyes (1) and (2). The water-soluble ink is excellent in all the performances of colorability, bronzing, ozone resistance and light resistance. The dye (1) is a copper phthalocyanine dye having a SO<SB>3</SB>Na group, a SO<SB>2</SB>NH<SB>2</SB>group and a triazine ring-having substituted sulfonamide group; the dye (2) is C.I.
