<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which suppresses a streaky image defect and ensures excellent wear resistance of an image holder. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an electrophotographic photoreceptor 10 (a type of image holder) having a surface protective layer made of a cured film; and a developing device 40 (a type of developing means) which houses a developer including a toner and a carrier and develops an electrostatic latent image formed on the image holder with the developer, thereby giving a toner image, wherein the coefficient of kinetic friction between the surface protective layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor 10 and the carrier is confined to ≤0.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
