摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave imaging system by which the situation of an object to be detected in a physical body is appropriately imaged and can be evaluated, by removing reflected wave components on the surface of the physical body in an ultra-short pulse reflected wave signal and surely obtaining the reflected wave components from the object to be detected being masked. SOLUTION: The microwave imaging system sets, in a frequency band of the ultra-short pulse, a first frequency range allowing the reflected wave components from the object to be detected to sufficiently transmit through the physical body and a second frequency range by which the same reflected wave components have lower transmission property, obtains each of the signal components of the reflected wave corresponding to each frequency range, subtracts the second signal components corresponding to the second frequency range from the first signal components corresponding to the first frequency range and negates the reflected wave components on the surface of the physical body. Thereby, the reflected wave components on the surface of the physical body is efficiently removed, the reflected wave components from the object to be detected in the first signal components can be relatively emphasized, the imaging of the object to be detected in the image recomposition can be accurately performed, and the object to be detected can be properly detected from the obtained image.
