PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable radio which permits applying of a diversity antenna technique without additionally necessitating any member for sub-antenna and eliminates to reserve a specific space for arranging a sub-antenna. SOLUTION: The portable radio is a portable radio 100 with a casing of a first terminal 10 (a first casing) and a casing of a second terminal 20 (a second casing) installed in an optionally detachable way, including: a first antenna 11 arranged in the first casing; a first communication module 12 arranged in the first casing and connected to the first antenna 11; a second antenna 21 arranged in the second casing; a second communication module 22 arranged in the second casing and connected to the second antenna 21; an attachment detector 24 adapted to detect the second casing being attached to the first casing; and a first signal switch 23 adapted to perform a switching operation to connect the second antenna 21 and the first communication module 12 when the attachment detector 24 detects the second casing being attached to the first casing.
