The battery cell (10) comprises a cell body (12) with connection flags (14, 16) passing through a wall of the cell body for electrically contacting the battery cell, where one of the connection flags is formed at its free ends from flag section passing with interval to each other. The connection flags are plastically deformed. The flag section possesses a maximal width of less than 70 mm. Independent claims are included for (1) a battery cell arrangement; and (2) a method for bending a connection flag of a battery cell.
