The element (11) has a holding plate with an adhesive i.e. double-sided tape, that is attached at a flat side of an object i.e. mirror, and fastened at a wall. The holding plate is designed as an elongate holding strip (12) that is adhered at the flat side of the object from a top to a bottom in a longitudinal direction. The strip includes a fastening unit (14) at an upper side for hanging at a wall anchor. A fastening unit is designed as a T-shaped extension that upwardly points in a mounting position.
