摘要 <p>Disclosed is an image processing device having a simple structure capable of achieving both reduction in error and smoothness of interpolation images after frame rate conversion. Specifically disclosed is an image processing device (10) that converts the frame rate of input video images by generating interpolation images between two original images that are included in the video images and that are temporally adjacent to each other, which comprises a motion vector detecting unit (11) that divides the original images into a plurality of blocks and that detects motion vector quantities between the two original images for each block; a compensation intensity determining unit (13) that determines motion compensation intensity indicating the degree of coincidence between the original images and the interpolation images on the basis of the motion vector quantities detected for each predetermined region including the blocks; and an interpolation image generating unit (14) that generates the interpolation images according to the motion compensation intensity determined for each predetermined region.</p>
