BASE STATION AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING SIGNALS

Provided are a base station and a device for processing signals wherein that distance between the base station and a mobile station which allows the synchronization of an upstream signal to be established therebetween can be elongated. In the base station, a correlation value, which is obtained relative to a reference signal received from the mobile station during a second interval established in a section different from the section in which a first interval is established, is used to determine whether it is necessary to correct a delay time calculated during the first interval. As a result, if it is determined that such correction is necessary, then the delay time calculated during the first interval is corrected.
