<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-based ink for inkjet recording with excellent color development and also with excellent light resistance and ozone resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink for inkjet recording includes a coloring agent, water and a water-soluble organic solvent. The coloring agent includes a special anthrapyridone dye and a dye (2). The water-based ink has excellent performances of all of color development, ozone resistance, and light resistance.
