PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed-proof mat for preventing the weeds at the surroundings of a guard pole for supporting the guard installed along the side part of a road. SOLUTION: The weed-proof mat is provided by constituting the mats 1, 1 as one set of 2 sheets, forming a notched part 4 by cutting-in from the one side 3, attaching a semi-cylindrical cylinder part 2 at the bottom of the notched part 4, laying the 2 pieces of the mats 1, 1 around the guard pole 8, also holding the guard pole 8 by both cylindrical parts 2, 2 and joining them with each other.
