PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block capable of stably running coolant water that flows out from a water jacket of the cylinder block to a cylinder head, a method of manufacturing the cylinder block, a die, and an engine. SOLUTION: A prepared hole-shape portion 112 that is a non-through hole of a cylindrical recessed shape, that is a recessed part, is provided on an upper deck surface 102 of cylinder block 100. A water hole pipe 111 is disposed so that an end face 111a of water hole pipe 111 of water jacket 110 opens inside the prepared hole-shape portion 112. In that case, the end face 111a of water hole pipe 111 is disposed to be located between the upper deck surface 102 and a bottom face 112a of prepared hole-shape portion 112.
