[Class 35] In dynamo-electric machines of the totally enclosed type provided with cooling tubes through which air is passed and which are secured by casting in the main frame or casing of the machine the tubes are constructed to allow for contraction in cooling. The Figure shows such a tube formed in two parts 8, 9, cast on to the frame 3 and one telescoping into the other. In a modification, the tubes may be slightly bowed.
