PURPOSE: In R-MDPS, the belt pulley is constituted with multi-stage. The degree of freedom of the vehicles package can be increased. CONSTITUTION: A structure of decelerator in belt type rack assist typed motor driven power steering comprises N-1 idlers(41) and belts(42,43). The idler is arranged between the motor and rack bar. The N-1 idlers(N is the fixed number more than 2) connect the motor and the rack bar. The belts successively connect the idlers and the rack bar.
