<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool and production line, further miniaturizable by improving space efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: This machine tool includes a spindle stock 50 for installing a tool T for processing a workpiece W, moving means 32 and 42 for moving the spindle stock 50 in the XY direction, a workpiece holding part 70 capable of holding the workpiece W, a contact-separate driving device 81 for moving the workpiece holding part 70 between a workpiece processing position and a retreat position along the Z direction for contacting-separating to the spindle stock 50 by crossing with an XY plane, a tool holder 61 positioned on the upper side to the spindle stock 50 and holding a plurality or singular tool T, and a loader passage 91 for positioning a carrier 100 for supplying the workpiece W to the workpiece holding part 70 or taking out the workpiece W from the workpiece holding part 70 on the upper side separating from the Z direction to the retreat position and in a part separating from the tool holder 61 along the Z direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
