PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically assign communication addresses and slots even when a frame length is shorter than a terminal ID. SOLUTION: A communication method for establishing communication between a master set 100 and a slave set 200 by using a slot includes: steps (S203, S204) of allowing the slave set 200 to transmit first to nth request messages including first to nth slave set ID pieces to the master set 100; steps (S104, S106) of allowing the master set 100 to receive the first to nth request messages and transmit first to nth response messages including the first to nth slave set ID pieces as first to nth selection terminal ID pieces; a step (S107) of allowing the master set 100 to transmit an address announcement message including the communication address and the slot; and a step (S208) of allowing the slave set 200 to set the communication address and the slot in the communication interface 210 of the slave set 200 when the first to nth selection terminal ID pieces are the same as the first to nth slave set ID pieces.
