PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorbing beam for a vehicle which is superior in strength, reduced in weight by thinning the plates, and increased in energy absorptivity using high-tension steels, and also provide a door structure for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A door impact beam 20 which is supported on a door body 11 at the front end 20a and the rear end 20b and which extends along a door outer panel 12 is configured so that a first closed cross sectional shape part 22 and a second closed cross sectional shape part 32 of the cross sectional shape of the door impact beam has a trapezoidal cross sectional shape, and the deformations of the first closed cross sectional shape part 22 and the second closed cross sectional shape part 32 against an impact load P input from the door outer panel 12 into a first front wall part 26 and a second front wall part 36 are constrained to secure a resistance force against the impact load P. Also, a bent part between the first front wall part 26 and a first outer vertical wall part 25 and a bent part between the second front wall part 36 and a second outer vertical wall part 35 are bent to an acute angle beforehand to suppress the bent and deformed amounts of the bent parts.
