Specifically disclosed is an air cell which comprises: a negative electrode (4) that comprises, as an active material, an organic compound having oxidation-reduction power; a positive electrode (1) that comprises an oxidation-reduction catalyst; and an electrolyte solution (5) that is provided between the negative electrode (4) and the positive electrode (1). A redox polymer which contains a residue having oxidation-reduction power in each repeating unit of the polymer is used as the organic compound.
