An improved LED luminaire is characterized by the following features: the LED luminaire comprises a luminaire housing (1), a printed circuit board (7) with LEDs (9) applied thereto and a cover (11) with one or more light exit openings (13); one or more spacers (15) are provided between the bottom (1a) and the cover (11) and/or between the printed circuit board (7), which is supported directly or indirectly on the bottom (1a), and the cover (11); a fastening device (19) is provided, via which the cover (11) and the luminaire housing or the luminaire holder (1) are fixed to one another with the spacers (15) located therebetween; the spacers (15) are configured in such a way and/or consist of materials with poor thermal conductivity or comprise a material with poor thermal conductivity; and a gap (23) is formed between the side wall (1b) of the luminaire housing (1) and the edge (11b) of the cover (11).
