<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of excellently conveying paper by strongly pressing a supply roller against the paper (a recording sheet). <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device includes a support mechanism 140 for vertically and movably supporting the supply roller 110, a driving mechanism 150 for making the supply roller 110 abut on the recording sheet by acting on the support mechanism 140, and a connecting mechanism 160 for connecting the support mechanism 140 to a manual feed tray 12. The connecting mechanism 160 includes an elastic member (coil spring 161) for imparting an energizing force in a direction to lower the supply roller 110 to the support mechanism 140, acting parts (an arm member 162 and a cam member 163) for deforming the elastic member by interlocking with an operation to open the manual feed tray 12 and releasing the deformation of the elastic member by interlocking with an operation to close the manual feed tray 12, and a regulating member 165 for regulating the deformation of the elastic member by abutting on the action parts when opening the manual feed tray 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
