The footwear (21) has an integration unit comprising a stitching (45) for affixing an envelope (43) of a fitting element (41) i.e. external fitting element, to a strobel sole (44) of the fitting element. Another integration unit with another stitching (48) affixes another envelope (46) of another fitting element i.e. internal fitting element, to another strobel sole (47) of the latter fitting element. The former stitching extends over an entire junction between the former envelope and the former strobel sole of the former fitting element. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing footwear.
