A computer implemented method of generating a model (e.g. interaction graph, logical interaction hypergraph) from a first set of molecule interactions (e.g. signal pathways between proteins, genes, DNA, RNA), the first set of molecule interactions comprising interactions involving a first molecule (e.g. gene/protein p53). The method comprises generating a second set (e.g. a subset of said first set) of molecule interactions wherein each molecule interaction indicated in the second set comprises an interaction between the first molecule and a respective further molecule. A second molecule is selected, the second molecule being one of the further molecules involved in the interactions indicated in the second set of molecule interactions. A third set of molecule interactions is generated, each molecule interaction in the third set comprising an interaction between the second molecule and a further molecule. The second set and the third set are processed to generate a model of the molecule interactions indicated in the second and third sets. In an alternative embodiment the modelling process may use gene activation or inhibition levels and generate state information. The model may be used in producing treatment regimes for patients. |
