<p>The cutter has a cutting tool (1) comprising a star-shaped blade for cutting a melon (6) into pieces (7) and a collecting device (9) i.e. product chute, for the cut pieces of the melon. The tool is formed as a compactor, and has a blade plate (10) for accommodating the blade. Guiding plates (13, 14) are provided for melon centering on the blade plate, and form a jaw pair that places the melon transverse to a traverse direction (X) of a pressure pad (12) in a slidably displaceable manner. The guiding plates ensure constrained motion of the melon during feeding of the pad.</p> |
