<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an added device housing part housing an added device added to the lower end of the side wall of a bathtub, with good productivity by only cutting a side wall heat insulating material partially. <P>SOLUTION: This heat insulating material for the bathtub includes: a bottom heat insulating material 13 for covering the outer surface of the bottom of the bathtub 2; and a side wall heat insulating material 14 for covering the outer surface of the side wall 3a of the bathtub 2 separately from the bottom heat insulating material 13. A stand-up part 20 is stood up from the outer end of the bottom heat insulating material 13. In the stand-up part 20, a notch recessed part 22 is formed which opens upward to engage an engaging projection part 18 projecting downward from the side wall heat insulating material 14. The side wall heat insulating material 14 includes an excisable area 24 having the lower end constituted of the engaging projection part 18. The cuttable area 24 can form the added device housing part 6 by cutting the whole area including the fitting projecting part 18, the added device housing part 6 being a little larger than the added device 4 and capable of housing the lower end of the added device in a part obtained by cutting the engaging projection part 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
