<p>Downward flow Venturi-type gas purifier, for the removal of solids, entrained liquid or selected gaseous or vapour components from a gas or gas mixture, e.g. the removal of fly ash and/or SO3 from combustion gases, having an inlet to the Venturi throat provided with one or more conical deflectors over which the liquid flows, with the special feature whereby an annular liquid-projecting rim or flange is placed upstream from the throat on at least one inlet deflector, with a diameter such that it terminates outside the throat dimension.</p> |
