PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of reducing the rolling resistance without impairing the wet performance etc. SOLUTION: The tread surface 2 of the pneumatic tire comprises a center longitudinal groove 3a stretching zigzag on the tire equator C, a pair of middle longitudinal grooves 3b on both sides of the center longitudinal groove 3a, and center crosswise grooves 4a stretching from the zigzag corner part j of the center longitudinal groove 3a to each tread end E alternately and inclined in the same orientation, and the three sorts of these grooves constitute a center block 5a. The center longitudinal groove 3a comprises a first groove portion 7 inclined in the first direction to the tire circumferential direction and a second groove portion 8 inclined oppositely to the first direction, which are connected alternately. The first portion 7 of the longitudinal groove is formed with a larger width and smaller length than the second portion 8. Further it is configured so that the land ratio of the whole tread surface is 62-75% and the land ratio of the center region as a region centering on the equator sharing 25% of the tread width is 1.03-1.17 times greater than the land ratio of the whole tread surface.
