A METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING A VIDEO SIGNAL USING AN INTRA PREDICTION

PURPOSE: A video signal processing method and apparatus using intra prediction are provided to update a reference pixel for the intra prediction in a pixel row unit or a pixel column unit within a macro block. CONSTITUTION: A video signal processing apparatus parses macro block type information and residual information about a current block from received bit stream(S500). In case the macro block type of the current block is intra N*N, the apparatus decides the prediction mode of the current block(S510). Based on the prediction mode, the apparatus performs intra prediction in a pixel row unit or a pixel column unit within the current block(S520). The apparatus restores the current block through the residual information about the current block(S530).
