<p>Disclosed are a device, method, and server that perform equipment identification of electric appliances that are connected to a network. A data processing device (50), to which an electric appliance (20) has been connected so as to be capable of communication via a network (2), receives a packet (response packet or passive packet) to discriminate the type of the electric appliance (20) for the electric appliance (20). The data processing device (50) stores a definition file, established in advance for each electric appliance (20), compares the received packet with the definition file for each electric appliance, determines scores therefor, extracts the definition file with high score, and sets the electric appliance data in the extracted definition file as the electric appliance data for the electric appliance (20).</p> |
