PURPOSE: A transmission device for an electric vehicle is provided to buffer a speed control function by automatically forming a shift ratio of a proper state according to a vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft(400) is coupled with first and second input gears having different gear ratios. A clutch(200) selectively transmits the power of a drive motor to the input shaft. A counter shaft(500) is coupled with first and second counter engaged with the first and second input gears in a state of free rotation. A synchronizer(600) receives the power of the input shaft in a low speed stage or a high speed stage and is selectively coupled with the first and second count gears. A control unit shifts the state of the power transmission of the input shaft to the counter shaft in two stages of the low speed stage or the high speed stage according to the vehicle speed.
