1277142 Pressurized dispensing containers L'OREAL 9 July 1970 [7 Aug 1969] 33473/70 Addition to 1226712 Heading F1R A valve for discharging a plurality of substances stored under pressure according to the parent Specification is modified to be self cleaning by providing an orifice 50 in the wall of the slidable sealing element 10. To clean the valve, the orifice 50 is aligned with one of two holes 17 in the discharge pipe 14 by rotation of the pipe until marks 51, 52 provided on the pipe and cup 19 respectively are aligned, so allowing the flow through the pipe of propellant gas with the marks 51, 52 non-coincident, depression of the pipe 14 permits discharge only of the substances contained in receptacles 21, 22, through ducts 7, 8, apertures 5, 6 and holes 16. During dispensing e.g. of viscous substances, the orifice 50 and a hole 17 may be aligned so that the gas assists discharge. Alignment also permits introduction of propellant gas to the pack on which the valve is attached. |
