COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE EXTRACT OF ASTRAGALI RADIX WITH LOTS OF ASTRAGLOSIDE

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Astragali Radix extract with a large amount of astraglosides is provided to relieving skin irritation and to improving skin condition. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a cosmetic composition comprises: a step of pulverizing Astragali Radix to obtain Astragali Radix powder; and a step of adding purified water, methanol, ethanol, glycerin, ethyl acetate, butylene glycol, dichloromethane, hexane, or mixture thereof to the Astragali Radix powder and performing sonication. A cosmetic composition contains 0.0001-30 weight% of freeze-dried or concentrated Astragali Radix extract. The cosmetic composition is used in the form of gel, lotion, soluble liquid, cream, essence, oil-in-water and water-in-oil basic cosmetic formulation, foundation, skin cover, lip gloss, face powder, and eye shadow.
