Carrying arm for a projection device

The arm (22) has an articulation apparatus (28) between two arm sections (24, 26) for interconnecting the arm sections and permitting the arm section (26) to rotate through a rotational excursion relative to the arm section (24) between two positions. A guide device in the articulation apparatus guides a rotational movement of the arm section (26) relative to the arm section (24). A gas spring coupled to the arm sections has a spring force to compensate for a weight force of the arm section (26) and of a video projector (30) over the entire rotational excursion. An independent claim is also included for a presentation apparatus comprising a support.
