PURPOSE: A method for treating foul smell and contaminated gas and a device for treating foul smell and contaminated gas are provided to effectively remove bad smell and to improve relative treatment quantity. CONSTITUTION: A method for treating foul smell and contaminated gas comprises: a step of forming waste gas by collecting and treating high concentration foul smell and contaminated gas; a step of decomposing the waste gas using ultraviolet ray; and a step of oxidizing the discomposed waste gas by mixing the gas with ozone. The ultraviolet ray has the wavelength of 180-230nm.
