<p>1292081 Bleomycin antibiotics ZAIDAN HOJIN BISEIBUTSU KAGAKU KENKYU KAI 5 Feb 1970 [15 Feb 1969 4 Nov 1969] 5666/70 Heading C2A Novel bleomycin antibiotics having antitumour and microbicidal activity and characterized by having an ultra-violet absorption peak at 243 to 244 mÁ and an ultra-violet absorption maximum at 290 to 295 mÁ and a partial Formula (I) wherein R is one of the following groups and also known bleomycin antibiotics A 2 , A<SP>1</SP> 2 , A 5 , A 6 , B 2 and B 4 , which have a partial Formula (I) as above, wherein R is respectively are prepared by aerobically cultivating a bleomycin-producing strain of Streptomyces verticillus in a nutrient medium in the presence of an amino compound having at least one group of structure and in addition at least one amino, imino, guanidino, amidino, sulphonium or nitrogencontaining heterocyclic group, or in the presence of a compound which is convertible during the cultivation to such an amino compound, to produce a bleomycin compound containing a side chain R in the partial Formula (I) above, derived from the said amino compound by removal of a, hydrogen atom from the amine group of the group.</p> |
