<p>The invention relates to an injection system for diesel fuel which uses high pressure pumps in the form of monoblock pumps (8) and injectors (12) for operating small diesel engines which only require an injection pressure of up to 800 bar. Tappet-actuated monoblock pumps (8) are provided with a quantity control system. Injectors (12) suitable for leakage-free direct injection are used and the pressure is controlled by a pressure transducer (10) in the high pressure line (5) by means of an electronic control unit (ECU).</p> |
