PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing the intake and vent of a cooking chamber of a microwave oven is provided to selectively open and close the intake and vent of a cooking chamber by rotating first and second damper members with a single damping motor. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening and closing the intake and vent of a cooking chamber of a microwave oven comprises first and second damper members(30,50), a damping motor(61), and a driving force transmission member. The first and second damper members open and close an intake(15) and a vent(17) of a cooking chamber(11), respectively. The damping motor provides a driving force for opening and closing the intake and the vent through a driving shaft to the first and second damper members. The driving force transmission member transfers the driving force of the damping motor to one of the first and second damper members. One of the first and second damper members is connected to the driving shaft to open and close one of the intake and the vent while the other damper member is delivered with the driving force through the driving force transmission member to open and close the other one of the intake and the vent.
