<p>Stable products useful in textile industry, to prevent felting of wool, as hair-anchoring agents and esp. as size for mfr. of writing- or printing-paper contg. CaCO3 as filler, are prepd. by reacting a room tem. - liquid polyglycidyl ether of a polyphenol with an acyclic, esp. 2-14C, diprimary diamine, in a 1-3 to 5.5 epoxide: amino gp. equiv. ratio, without solvents, at 100-120 degrees C, and further reacting adduct obtd., below 100 degrees C, in an organic solvent, with an epoxy cpd. in a 1:3 to 5 epoxide:amino gp. equiv. ratio, and, no later than after completing reaction, adding acid to set pH to 7-8 after diluting with water.</p> |
