<p>The system (13) has a card reading unit (1) for a credit unit (14), where the reading unit is connected with a cashpoint (5) via data connections (2, 4). An encryption unit (3) encrypts data to be transmitted from the reading unit to the cashpoint, so that the data in the cashpoint is partially information technically protected. A decryption unit (6) decrypts the encrypted data that is to be transferred from the cashpoint to a central unit (7). The encryption unit is arranged in the cashpoint or in the reading unit, and the decryption unit is arranged in the cashpoint. An independent claim is also included for a method for cashless payment at a cashpoint of a point-of-sale system.</p> |
