<p>The method involves setting two intervals (30, 32) within a region of a characteristic curve (18) after exceeding a maximum value (12). The interval (30) comprises the characteristic range in proximity of the maximum value, and the interval (32) comprises a characteristic range in the proximity of a reference line (10). A gradient ratio of the intervals is determined. The determined gradient ratio is compared with a reference value of another gradient ratio of the intervals of an electro-chemical substance. An independent claim is also included for a device for verifying an electro-chemical substance in a gas sample.</p> |
