Door handle for a vehicle door

The handle (1) has a door handle body (2) with a hollow space (4) that is defined by a wall (3) and is accessible by an opening (5). A support frame (8) is guided into the hollow space through the opening and is fixed at the hollow space. The support frame is enclosed by the opening at an installed state of the handle. Electronic components (7) are detected by the support frame. The support frame is formed as a support structure (8a) with an opened inner region (8b) for accommodation of the electronic components and a sealing cover (8c). An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a door handle.
