PURPOSE: A return coal hopper for a coke oven is provided to reduce a return coal collecting process by automatically opening a hopper if the approach of an extruder toward the hopper is sensed. CONSTITUTION: A return coal hopper for a coke oven comprises a hopper body and a door and a driving part. An inlet, in which return coal flows from an extruder, is formed on the hopper body. A door(74) opens and closes an inlet part(72). The driving part operates the door. The driving part comprises a cylinder, a sensor, and a controller. The cylinder slides the door to open and close the inlet. If the extruder gets near to the inlet, the sensor senses the approach and transmits an electric signal. The controller transmits an opening signal to the cylinder according to the electric signal of the sensor. |
