PURPOSE: An information processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to enable a viewer to not miss an annotation by controlling the display of an image data. CONSTITUTION: An annotation setting unit(503) selects a layer number of a Z-stack and the image display range of screen. An image processor(505) selects the establishment of the Z-through display mode. A selected annotation determiner(506) acquires the jump display command and an annotation comment display command through an input unit(107). The image processor changes the image layer by the jump display command. The image processor synthesizes the displayed image and the annotation comment by the display command of the annotation comment.
