FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology, and aims at blocking large ruptures, abruptions, group of ruptures of retina. It involves extrascleral packing with silicon spongy implants with oval segment cross-section 4-6 mm high and 7-9 mm wide. Preliminary, the implants are impregnated with an antibiotic solution injected through free ends. An implant surface is coated with an antiseptic gel.
