A method for treating cystic-nodular thyroid lesions provides for administering sclerosing agent, ethanol 96 %, into the cavity of the nodule with the aid of low invasive transcutaneous puncture under sonographic control. Upon puncture, the content of the lesion is aspirated, 2 % solution of Novocain is injected in a volume approximately equal to the volume of preceding aspirate. The solution of Novocain is then removed, and ethanol 96 % is administered in a volume amounting to 50-75 % of that of Novocain solution. |
