PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for peak-to-average power ratio reduction are provided to increase the PAR reduction performance while maintaining a data transmission rate in various system environments. CONSTITUTION: If a transmission signal is inputted, a tone allocation unit allocates data and a reservation tone to a predetermined location(S110). An IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) unit performs reverse Fourier Transform for the data and the reservation tone(S120). A parallel-serial converter performs parallel-serial conversion for the converted signal(S130). A control unit reduces a PAR(Peak to Average Ratio) as many as the set number by controlling a gradient algorithm unit. |
