FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to centrifuges, particularly to direct-drive separator. Separator comprises centrifuging drum with vertical rotational axis and feed line for material to centrifuged, drum drive shaft arranged to rotate in the housing flexibly resting upon foundation, and drive system incorporating motor made up of stator and rotor aligned with drive shaft. Stator is fixed on foundation. Rotor, drive shaft, centrifuging drum and housing make assembly that oscillates in operation and flexible rests upon foundation.
