DIGGING ELEMENT OF ROOT-HARVESTING MACHINE

A digging element of a root-harvesting machine comprises knife arms, which are a curvilinear developable surface, connected in the lower part by a ploughshare. The knife arms hingedly fastened to the ploughshare. The digging element is hingedly mounted on the frame and receives forced vibrations from a vibrator through a resilient element arranged on the opposite side from a vibration exciter. The rigidity of the resilient element is chosen in such a manner as to allow cyclic frequency of free rotary vibrations of a cramp iron to be equal to the frequency of forced vibration provided by the vibration exciter.
