DEVICE FOR PREVENTING A TRAIN FROM DERAILING

PURPOSE: A derailment prevention device is provided to guide a derailed railway vehicle to travel along a rail by being projected downward and suspended on the rail when the railway vehicle is derailed. CONSTITUTION: A derailment prevention device(100) comprises a coupling plate(110), a supporting part(130), a suspension member(150), a weight part(153), and a stopper. The coupling plate is connected to a bogie. The supporting part is projected from a side surface of the coupling plate and has a vertical through hole. The suspension member is inserted into the through hole and slides up and down. The weight part is provided on the bottom of the suspension member in order to increase the weight of the suspension member. The stopper is installed in the coupling plate and elastically supports the suspension member with an elastic member. The suspension member is separated from the stopper and projected downward when a railway vehicle is derailed.
