1342439 Central heating SAUNIER DUVAL 7 Feb 1972 [8 Feb 1971] 5499/72 Heading F4U [Also in Division F2] The flow of water heated by a gas boiler 1, Fig. 1, in a combined central heating and hot water supply system is controlled according to winter or summer conditions by the setting of a manually operated handle 18, Fig. 4, in a switching valve 4 which controls by a camming action the position of a valve member 16 to close fluid flow via a branch 6 to the radiators 5 of the central heating system and back to the valve 4 through a return pipe 7 or directly through a return pipe 8 to the boiler thus bypassing the radiator circuit. Drawing off water actuates a rod 11 by a mechanism not described which rod actuates a spring controlled lever mechanism whereby the position of the valve 16 may be overridden. |
