<p>The present invention concerns a method for receiving metadata for an application providing an IPTV service, wherein a metadata-request message is generated which requests metadata for an application providing at least one IPTV service; the metadata-request message is transmitted to a second entity device; and, in response to the metadata-request message, a metadata response message, which comprises metadata for the application providing at least one IPTV service, is received from the second entity device.
